Aston Villa Women have confirmed the signing of Rachel Daly ahead of the upcoming Women’s Super League season. She joins the club for an undisclosed fee from Houston Dash. Daly was part of the England squad that lifted the Euro 2022 title and has signed a three-year deal with the club. She returns to England after spells with Leeds, Lincoln, and West Ham in the past.
“This is a big signing for us and one we’ve worked hard on completing. Rachel is a top forward and a proven goalscorer. Having performed admirably at full-back this summer, she showed us that she is a player you simply need in your team. But for us, she is a forward and we can’t wait to see her scoring goals,” Aston Villa Women manager Carla Ward said about Rachel Daly.
Meanwhile, a court said that Ryan Giggs grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the shoulders and headbutted her after she confronted him about cheating.
“It was ‘why didn’t you say you had a boyfriend?’ He was angry. He kept having a go at me. He wanted me to agree with him. I was not prepared to do that. I stood up for myself,” Ms. Greville said. “He had packed up all of my things and said he wanted me to get out. He was basically saying he was finishing with me and he didn’t want anything more to do with me. I knew everything that he had done. I had the proof for the first time ever because he had always managed to convince me the whole thing was in my head and I was going crazy. I showed him some of the messages I had seen. I had taken screenshots, there were a lot. He said what I was saying was not true.”
