An agreement to take Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard on loan for the rest of the season was agreed by West Ham.
Before traveling to London to complete the transfer, Lingard is supposed to have his physician in Manchester.
He will be available to make his debut against Liverpool on Sunday if the deal is completed and Lingard is registered by midday on Friday.
At Old Trafford, Lingard has dropped down the pecking order, struggling to make a Premier League appearance this season, and has been trying to secure a step away to get more minutes for the first team.
It is known that Newcastle and West Brom approached the representatives of Lingard about taking international out-of-favor England on loan, but the 28-year-old declined their offers.
Taking into account the loan fee and Lingard’s salary, the overall expense of a possible deal is thought to be more than £ 3 m.
To secure its value ahead of a possible move, United activated a one-year extension on Lingard’s deal, which now lasts until the summer of 2022.
