Manchester United has reportedly been told that an £ 80 m bid will be needed to pry Jack Grealish away from Aston Villa this summer.

In recent weeks, the uncertainty about the Villa captain ‘s future has escalated as Dean Smith’s side has only managed to stave off Premier League relegation.

Grealish has publicly acknowledged that he does not know if he has played his last game in a Villa jersey, and Man United is the preferred trademark of the Englishman.

Nevertheless, given the financial effects of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Mirror, Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris is not prepared to allow Grealish to quit for under £80 m.

Grealish is left with just under three years to run on his current contract at Villa Park, but the article says the 24-year-old is already pressing for a new deal and is eager to play for a rival club in the Champions League.

The Villa skipper has turned out 36 times for Smith’s side in the Premier League competition in the 2019-20 season, scoring eight goals and six assists.
