Manchester United is said to be close to signing a new £70 million-per-year shirt deal as their partnership with Chevrolet comes to an end.

Since the 2014-15 season, when they announced their deal with the Red Devils in 2012, the American carmaker has been endorsing United’s famous shirts.

United’s seven-year extension with Chevrolet was supposed to expire at the end of this season, but it was extended by six months due to the financial consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Sun now says that the 20-time English champions are close to agreeing to a £70 million-a-year contract with a possible sponsor.
