AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has been named in the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers. He revealed that he loves life in Italy with AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The defender had been out of the squad for the past two years as he was deemed not good enough during his time at Chelsea. He was on loan at AC Milan with the move becoming permanent this season. Tomori has thrived in Italy with AC Milan currently second in the Serie A.

“Since I have been in Milan, I haven’t really thought about it.” AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori said about his time at Chelsea. “It was a difficult time – every footballer wants to play, and every footballer wants to show themselves on the pitch. When you are not able to do that it is difficult – and being able to overcome and forget about that is part of the reason why it is now going so well.”

“I didn’t really dwell on it and just moved on and put it as part of football, part of life,” he added. “I had a really good support system with my family and my friends – and now I’ve overcome that I want to take it further and keep progressing It feels good, to have been here and then out of it for a while, and then to be back, I am really happy. And now my goal is to stay here, with my performances here and back in Milan.”
