Juventus director Andrea Pirlo said he would ask club officials to approach Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

France International has less than six months left in its tenure, a situation that effectively leaves the veteran free to tender in January.

While Blues manager Frank Lampard regards the 34-year-old as a critical figure, Pirlo has suggested that the World Cup winner is on his radar.

Speaking to DAZN, the Juve boss has acknowledged that Giroud would “be handy” when revealing that he is in the market for a new striker.
