Wes Morgan, Christian Fuchs, and Eldin Jakupovic have signed new one year contracts with Leicester but at the end of the season, Andy King will leave the club.

Club captain Morgan and left-back Fuchs were key members of the 2016 Premier League-winning side of Foxes, while Jakupovic has largely served as a goalkeeper back-up since coming in 2017.

However, after 16 years, King-another key member of the title-winning side of Leicester-will leave the King Power Stadium.

At a 16-year-old, the midfielder joined Leicester and made 378 appearances for the Foxes, placing him 10th on the all-time list of the club.

He remains the only player with the same club to have won the League One, the Championship, and the Premier League titles.

After honoring his loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town, King will leave Leicester, which is due to run until the end of the season.

Andy King to leave the club at the end of the season.

Leicester confirmed that the club will host an event to mark the service of King when it is safe and possible to do so.

A statement from the club read: “Few players have committed themselves over such a sustained period to the cause of the club, served through such a spectrum of experiences, or contributed to such a change as Andy has in the last 16 years. That, coupled with the success that he helped the club achieve on the pitch, marks him out on the shirt among the greats. He is leaving at the club with everyone’s thanks for an unprecedented effort.”

Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has also praised King over the last decade for his service to the club.

Srivaddhanaprabha said: “I’m so grateful to Andy. He’s the only player there still who was with the club when King Power took over ten years ago. He’s been with us for everything and he’s an awesome person. He’s been a big part of everything the club has done in that period and has won so many people ‘s admiration. I could talk about Andy’s major goals or the medals he’s won but his contribution goes far beyond that.”
