The World Cup winner has already picked the soundtrack that will take him back to the Champions League field.
Antoine Griezmann knows precisely what he should listen to when he gets Friday’s meeting with Bayern Munich ‘in the ring’ for the Barcelona UEFA Champions League.
French rapper Nekfeu was the backdrop for the Barca forward’s everyday life in the lockdown.
And the World Cup winner remained entertained by returning to one of his favorite pastimes – the Football Director.
“Ousmane Dembele plays a lot of Fortnite, too, Sergi Roberto. I think they all have their things to think about anything but soccer. I enjoy playing soccer manager for me,” Griezmann said to Goal.
“I played with Marseille as the Football Manager. I just enjoy playing a game — I’m trying to learn stuff as a coach, how to lead a squad and it’s close to real life.”
The life of this week will be very real as Griezmann tries to steer Barcelona past Bayern Munich in Lisbon. For the 18th time, both clubs have reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, more than any other side, and are among the favorites to win the most coveted title of the football club.
“This is an empty stadium is very special. I think the best feeling is being able to celebrate with your friends, your fans, and hopefully, we will be able to do that as soon as possible.”
