Bournemouth have rejected a £13m bid for Arnaut Danjuma from Europa League winners’ Villareal. The winger scored 15 goals in the Championship last season. Bournemouth were beaten by Brentford in the semifinal of the playoffs. Danjuma joined Bournemouth from NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivise. He made 14 appearances in the Premier League before they were relegated.
After leaving the Premier League, he was the standout player of the campaign for Bournemouth. His performances have seen him being linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium. He is under contract with the London club until the summer of 2024. Danjuma remains eager to take Bournemouth back to the Premier League and prove that he can perform in the most competitive league in the world.
“My main ambition is getting back to the Premier League with Bournemouth,” Bournemouth winger Arnaut Danjuma said last season. “I am a very ambitious athlete, I feel there is a huge part of me where I can prove myself in the Premier League. I was unfortunate in the previous season with a couple of injuries, I bounced back this season straight away. It’s good for myself and to show the rest of the world that I can perform in the Championship and play week-in week-out.”
Attacking midfielder Emiliano Marcondes became Bournemouth’s first arrival of the summer earlier this month while Jack Wilshere has been released following the expiry of his deal and Nnamdi Ofoborh has joined Rangers.
