Amid Barcelona’s interest, Arsenal faces the possibility of losing starting full-back Hector Bellerin.
According to reports in Spain, Bellerin was assigned to Barca presidential candidate Joan Laporta – who is the favorite to win the race – as one of his first signings should he return to his Camp Nou post.
And the Mirror now says that if the Spaniard left, either in January or in the summer, Arsenal had already earmarked their substitute for Bellerin.
Bellerin is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2023, but he could be tempted by Barcelona’s growing up in the area and going through the La Masia Academy.
With lightning speed, Lamptey is an offensive-minded full-back, and he has often been used as a winger, but his defensive skills are not to be played down.
