Arsenal could decide to sell Matteo Guendouzi as Mikel Arteta ‘s patience with the promising midfielder has begun to lose.
Guendouzi, 21, is considered a future star and has shown that he has great potential since moving to north London two years ago.
Throughout his spell at the Emirates, though, questions about his attitude also surfaced, and such issues came to the fore last weekend and resulted in Guendouzi hitting back pages.
After Brighton ‘s defeat by Arsenal, he was filmed grabbing Neal Maupay ‘s throat, also allegedly taunting Seagulls players about their wages during the match.
And Arteta is growing increasingly frustrated at Guendouzi’s antics, according to the Daily Mail, having kept a close eye on him throughout his spell as manager.
It is claimed that the Spanish coach has kept tabs on Guendouzi since, shortly after his appointment, he watched training footage back and saw the young midfielder act up.
Guendouzi only began two of Arteta’s first ten matches in charge, but since the Premier League season resumed, he’s been selected from the start for both Arsenal’s fixtures.
And he’s in the picture to play again as the Gunners visit Southampton tomorrow evening, having avoided a retrospective ban to catch Maupay ‘s throat.
Earlier this week, Guendouzi ‘s attitude problems were revealed on talkSPORT as Arsenal ‘s great Perry Groves received some inside information about the French youngster.
