Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, has responded to reports that he is one of the candidates to coach Barcelona.
Arteta told Sky Sports, “During the presidential elections in Barcelona, there will always be speculation. It’s a big club, I became a player there, and we’ll always be linked. However, I am focused on the work I have to do at Arsenal, and there is plenty of it here, which I enjoy. It is a pleasure and a joy for me to coach this club.”
“I am the Arsenal coach today and tomorrow; I enjoy it and want to improve.”
Arteta was a member of Barcelona’s youth system from 1997 to 2001, but he never made it to the first team.
