On Tuesday evening, Atalanta reduced the Juventus lead to just six points, with a 1-0 win over Bologna that was hard-fought.

A bad-tempered first half saw Gian Piero Gasperini, Atalanta’s boss sent off, but Luis Muriel came off the substitutes’ bench to save the Dea all three points, leapfrogging Inter into second.

Gasperini stayed with a lot of the squad that drew with Verona against Bologna, whose coach Sinisa Mihajlovic rang the changes after a 5-1 defeat in Milan, and took the old boy Musa Barrow to Bergamo.

Atalanta dominated possession early on, but only forced Lukasz Skorupski to make one real save from Mario Pasalic, who scored from close quarters with Duvan Zapata after a fast give-and-go.
