Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has tested positive coronavirus, the club announced Thursday.
On Wednesday De Laurentiis attended a general meeting of the Lega Serie A in Milan, indicating that other club bosses would have to quarantine ahead of the new season.
It was the league’s first formal assembly held after months of virtual meetings, during the coronavirus pandemic.
A Napoli statement read: “SSC Napoli reports that after yesterday’s swab, President Aurelio De Laurentiis has tested positive for COVID-19.”
