According to his agent Jonathan Barnett, Gareth Bale is not interested in a return to the Premier League with the Welshman still “very comfortable” in Spain and open to the possibility of retiring at Real Madrid

Speculation about a step away from Santiago Bernabeu keeps swirling around the 30-year-old forward.

That has been the case for some time now, bringing a fresh round of rumors with each passing transfer window.

In one stage a switch to China was considered, while America was mooted as a potential landing spot, but no deal was made.

That keeps the exit gossip ticking over, with England still having plenty of teams that would welcome the opportunity to bring back a former Tottenham star to Britain.

Nevertheless, Bale has shown little interest in moving home, with Barnett stating that the desired option of the Wales international will be to continue working on a deal until 2022 in its current climate.

“I don’t know what his value is. His salary is quite high and very important in his life also where he wants to go. I can’t put a figure on it, “Barnett told BBC Radio 4 about Bale’s future when he questioned again.

In 2013, Bale joined the Spurs Blancos and took 249 appearances for the club.

He’s scored 105 goals during these outings, winning a title from La Liga and four crowns from the Champions League.

At times of late, however, form and fitness were a problem, and Zinedine Zidane, who had frozen Bale out before, is said to favor other options and a transfer that would allow him to free up space and funds in a star-studded squad.
