Barcelona’s new president, Joan Laporta, was present at the team’s training session today, according to the club’s official website.

The 58-year-old functionary met with the Blaugrana’s first team, Barcelona B, and the women’s team after winning the election the day before.

In the locker room, Laporta spoke with Barca head coach Ronald Koeman, his coaching staff, and the players.

Laporta was running for president of Barcelona for the fourth time. He was elected in 2003, was re-elected in 2006 due to the absence of other candidates, and was defeated by Josep Bartomeu in 2015.

From 2003 to 2010, Laporta was the president of Barcelona. The club won La Liga four times and the Champions League twice during that period, for a total of 12 trophies.

Barca won six trophies in a single year in 2009.

Josep Bartomeu, who resigned in October, was replaced by Laporta.
