Bayern Munich has confirmed that Julian Nagelsmann is set to take over as head coach next season. Nagelsmann is currently on contract with RB Leipzig, Since he is still under contract at RB Leipzig, they will receive a world record €25m for their manager. He will be signing a five-year contract. another record for the Bundesliga champions.
Nagelsmann helped RB Leipzig reach the Champions League semi-finals last year. They are also on course to finish runners up to Bayern Munich this season. He is well known to be one of the best young coaches in Europe. Nagelsmann was also linked to the Tottenham job after Jose Mourinho was sacked.
Nagelsmann will replace Hansi Flick who asked for his contract to be terminated after several disagreements with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. Bayern also confirmed the early termination of his contract which was due to expire in 2023. Flick was linked to the newly vacated job of the German National team. Joachim Low is set to step down after the European Championships this summer.

Flick had enjoyed a highly successful past 18 months at Bayern winning the treble last season of the League, Cup, and Champions League. “The past two years will be unforgettable for me. I really enjoyed the emotions, the victories, the titles, but also the daily work on the pitch – it was an outstanding time.” Flick said.
