Bayern Munich is said to have made a bid for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez this summer.
In the last 12 months, the Spanish international has been closely linked with a move away from the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, with Barcelona and Manchester City both keeping tabs on him.
However, according to sources from Diario AS, the Bundesliga giants have already reached out to discuss a lucrative contract.
Despite remaining one of La Liga’s best midfielders, Niguez has fallen down Diego Simeone’s pecking order this season, with Marcos Llorente and Koke partnering in the engine room.
Atletico, on the other hand, holds a good role in any future transfer talks, as his new deal lasts until 2026.
Bayern Munich will not pay his full €150 million release option, with Atletico Madrid able to accept a fee closer to €50 million to balance their books this summer.
