According to the club’s official website, Peter Bos has been fired as head coach of Bayer.

The Dutchman was fired as a result of the team’s recent poor performance, which included relegation from the Europa League, a loss in the German Cup to a club from the fourth tier, and just two wins and five losses in their last nine Bundesliga games.

Hannes Wolf, who formerly worked with the German U18 national youth team, takes over as manager of Leverkusen before the end of the season.

Peter Hermann is his assistant coach, and he also served as Bayer’s assistant head coach from 1989 to 2008, as well as from 2009 to 2011.
