Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not expect Edinson Cavani to feature against Sheffield United as he continues his rehabilitation from a muscle injury.
Edinson Cavani looks likely to remain sidelined for Manchester United’s trip on Thursday to Bramall Lane because of a hamstring injury. Since the Uruguayan striker had to be removed at half-time in United’s 3-1 win at West Ham earlier this month, because of the issue, and has not played. He missed the matches against RB Leipzig and Manchester City but returned to training last week.
He told reporters, “We need to be aware of the little strains and niggles and we need to make decisions from the Sheffield United kick-off to the Aston Villa kick-off, so it’s going to be very tight. Edinson has done well in rehab, we still have to decide if we should risk him, it is a little risk to go too early, so I doubt he’ll be available to pick tomorrow.”
