After Giuseppe Iachini was sacked, Cesare Prandelli will take charge of Fiorentina for a second time.
Between 2005 and 2010, Prandelli previously coached the team and will have the job of reviving the fortunes of the club as they are 12th in the Serie A standings after two wins from seven games this season.
“I would like to thank Beppe Iachini personally, who pulled and led the squad at the most difficult moment of last season,” Club President Rocco Commisso said.
“The current findings, sadly, need a change in technical guidance. I also want to give Mister Prandelli my welcome. We conclude that Prandelli is the right person to sit on the purple bench with his expertise, his professional history and his humanity, respected and valued by the entire world of football.”
