After sustaining an ankle injury in Monday night’s victory over West Ham United at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell will be sidelined until at least the New Year.

In the early stages of the London derby, Chilwell was replaced and the England international will be absent for the remaining days of the calendar year, according to The Telegraph.

The good news is that the report shows that there is no breakage or signs of serious injury to the ankle of the defender of the Blues, but he has likely sustained minor damage or serious bruising.

The former Leicester City man, the report says, is expected to miss Chelsea’s upcoming fixtures against Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester City.
