Chelsea is said to be keen to keep Thiago Silva on the books at Stamford Bridge for the 2021-22 campaign.

The former Paris Saint-Germain stalwart shows no sign of slowing down at the age of 36 and has quickly become a star in the Chelsea defense since his arrival last summer.

Silva only penned a one-year deal with the capital outfit when he joined as a free agent but has impressed the Blues in the current campaign, the Brazilian international could be set to remain a little longer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the center-back is set to sit down in the coming weeks to discuss his future with the club, but the general mood is “positive” and there is no urgency to tie up a deal soon.
