Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri saw the post-lockdown gear change on Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala but he maintained that more will come.

Christiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala will continue to work towards improving their “incredible” partnership, Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri says.

Since June’s restart, the attacking pair had been directly involved in a combined 17 goals in the 10 Juve matches, with Ronaldo on the left and Dybala through the center.

Ronaldo joined Dybala for Juve’s second goal in Monday’s 2-1 victory over Lazio, opening the penalty spot scoring earlier to become Premier League, LaLiga, and Series A’s first goal-scoring player 50 times.

But while their friendship has inspired Sarri up top, he believes there’s a lot more to come out of the pair.

“It’s clear we can play much better and have enough scope for growth,” Sarri said when asked about Ronaldo and Dybala at a pre-match news conference Wednesday.

“I don’t see any challenge in making top-level players like Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala share the field as they’ve scored 51 goals in two seasons between them.”
