Cristiano Ronaldo became the first man to cross 25 goals in a single Series A season for Juventus in 60 years, setting the milestone for the Italian giants with his first-ever free-kick goal, reports Goal.

The Portuguese professional achieved the goal by reaching the target in Saturday’s derby against Torino which ended in a convincing victory for the league leaders.

His ambitious ambitions have been maintained in the current campaign, to discover 25 times in just 26 games in the Italian top-flight. He helped Juve get back to the top of the table this season as they chase a ninth consecutive Serie A crown.

During his Italy debut campaign Title glory was enjoyed but only 21 league goals were registered by a five-time Ballon d’Or winner. That haul has elevated this term, enabling him to equal the efforts of club legend Omar Sivori from 1960-61.

The Argentine-born Italy star managed to score exactly 25 to help Juve win Scudetto that season, while Sampdoria’s Sergio Brighenti pipped him to the top scorer for the crown.

No one has hit 25 league goals at the point, with legendary stars like Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio, and Michel Platini all falling short.
