Raymond Domenech feels that Karim Benzema began to flourish when he played at Real Madrid alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano Ronaldo was a big power, according to former French boss Raymond Domenech, in helping Karim Benzema fulfill his undoubted potential.
In LaLiga and Copa del Rey, the pair won twice together, and four times in the Champions League, including three in a row from 2016 to 2018.
Domenech, the man who first called up Benzema for Les Bleus, says that playing with the kind of careful preparation alongside a player as Ronaldo has been beneficial to the career of the striker.
Domenech told France Football, evaluating Benzema, “He had this intellect to adapt to the situation and to maximize his ability. Little by little, I saw him coming back. He made attempts, relocations, calls, plays, though he wanted the ball to go to his feet and just play. Karim was helpful to Ronaldo. And Ronaldo helped Karim, improved him. They absorbed each other.”
