With 30 goals in 34 games this season, Cristiano Ronaldo has shown that he is still a goalscoring machine for Juventus. He scored 37 goals in 46 games last season and 28 in 43 this season, meaning Real Madrid have gone without 95 goals since his departure in 2018.

In his absence, Karim Benzema has stepped up, but the Portuguese’s shadow hasn’t kept Los Blancos from being handed over.

“I wouldn’t have let him go because he’s one of the best players in the world and he would have helped us win,” Sergio Ramos recently said of his former teammate.

“Cris was defeated, and Real Madrid was defeated. He’s a key player who contributed to our victory.”

Zinedine Zidane went on to say that the player might be on his way back this summer.

“His return is possible,” Zidane said plainly.

The player’s decision to abandon Juventus will be the first step toward their reunion. He realizes his Italian journey has come to an end.

He left Madrid for Turin with the expectation that he would be the focal point of a project aimed at making Juventus the European power that Real Madrid had been.

But things haven’t gone as planned, and he’s only made it to the quarter-finals once. He is prepared to abandon Juventus as a result of his difficulties.

With Cristiano preparing to depart and expecting to return to the Spanish capital, Los Blancos must assess whether or not the contract can be completed. All parties are aware that neither has been the same since their divorce in 2018.

Juventus have been in decline recently, and their decision to take a chance on Andrea Pirlo did not persuade the No.7 at the time. And time has proved him right, as the former midfielder’s career has not gone far.

Juventus has 11 games left in Serie A, and the championship seems to be out of control. Furthermore, they have already been eliminated from the Champions League, but they would bet on themselves to win the Coppa Italia versus Atalanta.
