Gianluigi Donnarumma the Italian goalkeeper who began his career with Milan in 2015 of the Italian National team is regarded as one of the most talented young goalkeepers in the world at the age of 21. He has a net income of €6 m per annum and does not want it to change under his new deal.

Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (21) wants to extend his contract with AC Milan but, according to Italian sources, is not in a position to agree to a pay cut.

One of the best goalkeepers in Europe wants to live in Milan because in his youth he dropped out of school.

In the summer of 2017 he signed an agreement with Milan in which he has a salary of six million euros a year and has no intention of committing to a smaller amount.

Yet Milan’s owners, the American investment company Elliott Management, would like to place a “salary cap” and Donnarumma’s pay wouldn’t suit their plan.

Donnarumma’s deal with Milan expires in June of next year and many European greats like Juventus, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain are looking to see it in their ranks.
