Eddie Howe is expected to be named the next boss of Celtic after the former Bournemouth manager decided to take over the club ‘in theory.’ Howe has been out of work since leaving the Cherries since their relegation from the Premier League in August 2020.

Newcastle United and Sheffield United have also been linked with a bid for the 43-year-old, but according to the Scottish Sun, he is now likely to take charge at Celtic Park.

According to the paper, the finer aspects of the agreement have been worked out, and Howe will sign a two-year contract worth £2 million with the newly dethroned Scottish champions, with a formal announcement expected next week.
