Tottenham stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches with a convincing victory over beleaguered Sheffield United on Sunday.
As Tottenham beat Sheffield United 3-1 at the bottom of the table, Harry Kane scored his season’s 19th goal and Tanguy Ndombele struck with a sublime finish on Sunday.
Serge Aurier opened the scoring with an early header and Kane added a second to put Tottenham into charge at half-time.
David McGoldrick halved the deficit, but Ndombele scored one of the goals of the season to give the London club breathing room as they extended their unbeaten streak to seven games and left the beleaguered Blades with just five points.
Steven Bergwijn played a one-two with the French midfielder, picking him out with a clever chipped pass, and Ndombele found the far corner with a cheeky flicked lob running away from the target from inside the penalty area.
In stoppage time, Kane blazed over the counter at the end of a smooth Tottenham pass, but by then the victory had long been wrapped up.
