Bournemouth continued their unbeaten run to the Championship season as they secured one of the expected football results. Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke got on the scoresheet to help the Cherries regain their place at the top of the table. West Brom played on Friday evening to go top of the table. Reece Burke grabbed a consolation goal for the visitors but Bournemouth looked comfortable and saw out the game. Bournemouth played the same eleven that beat Cardiff last weekend. This meant that David Brooks once again had to settle for a place on the bench.
Bournemouth’s Scott Parker: “We’re undefeated and that’s no mean feat in this division. I’m pleased with him, he’s done well. He’s got that craft that you need in those tight spaces between the lines – that nice bit of class.” he added. “At that point, it’s about character and mentality and doing the basics and I felt we did that. They made us fight. Luton’s spirit was admirable and Jones was roaring his players on relentlessly from the technical area.”
Luton’s Nathan Jones: “We had the best chances of the game really. We put it over from two or three yards and you can’t do that at this level.” he added. “Second half I thought we were excellent, really front footed but we’ve had to chase too many games lately. We’re in the top three in chances created but we’re just not converting them at the moment.”
