Crystal Palace scored their first goal of the Premier League in their 2-2 draw with West Ham and end the latter’s perfect start to the season. West Ham should have been out of reach in the first half when they missed numerous chances to go ahead. Pablo Fornals finally gave them the lead in the 39th minute after a 1-2 with Michail Antonio. Connor Gallagher then scored the equalizer against the run of play. Antonio continued his good form and put the hosts ahead in the 68th minute with a brilliant strike. Gallagher then scored his second of the game to help Crystal Palace to their second point of the season with one of the favorable football results.

West Ham boss David Moyes: “There were lots of good things, not so good at times in the second half, but we can only praise the players for what they’re doing, they’ve been very good.” he added. “They did better, we didn’t play so well in the second half, and didn’t get on the ball quite as well as we had done.”
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira: “It was a well-deserved point. We played well in the second half. I was really pleased with the character we showed today.” he added. “We have to build up from those performances. I’m really pleased with those goals we scored of course. I never had a doubt we would score them it’s just a matter of time.”
