Josh King scored a hat-trick as Watford completed one of the surprise football scores of the weekend in the Premier League. King scored his first goal in 29 appearances for three different clubs. Tom Davies put the hosts ahead after three minutes before King scored his first goal 10 minutes later. Richarlison came on and scored just three minutes later when he turned in a Michael Keane cross. Watford responded in the best possible way with two goals 88 seconds apart from each other. Juraj Kucka piled the misery on Everton in the 78th minute before King completed his hattrick in the 80th minute.

Managers Reaction

Everton boss Rafa Benitez: “It’s difficult to explain. We were winning 2-1 and in a few minutes we concede so many goals, it’s complicated for me to understand. We were making mistake after mistake, giving them belief, and hope, and chances. They took them. When you are winning you need to know how to manage and we didn’t know who to do it.”

Watford boss Claudio Ranieri: “It was a crazy game because we conceded lots of chances, but also Everton conceded great chances to us. I am very satisfied because after the Liverpool defeat we wanted to react, and today we reacted very well.”
