Daniel James scored a crucial equalizer in one of the high-scoring football scores of the World Cup qualifiers. The Leeds United forward spared the blushes of goalkeeper Danny Ward for his error that lead to a Czech goal. In a crucial game for a playoff place, Wales took the lead in the 36th minute through captain Aaron Ramsey. However, a defensive lapse at the back allowed the Czechs to equalize. Ward then miss controlled a back pass from Ramsey to put the ball in his own net. James salvaged a point for the Welsh with little more than 20 minutes on the clock.

Man of the Match: Aaron Ramsey
Wales boss Robert Page said: “As a neutral, it was a great game to watch. I thought the lads were outstanding, we’ve created enough to win four games of football.” he added. “To take the game to them in the manner we did, they deserve full credit. We were in complete control, we wanted the win and the supporters were outstanding and helped us along. It’s a pleasure to watch Aaron Ramsey play, as well as all of them, every one of them to a man was fantastic.”
