Liverpool and Tottenham produced one of the best games of the season in one of the high-scoring football scores of the weekend in the Premier League. Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 13th minute in an action-packed first half as Delle Alli and Heung-Min Son should have put the hosts further ahead. They were made to pay when Diogo Jota equalized for the visitors with a brilliant header in the 35th minute. Son gave Spurs the lead after a howler by Alison before Andy Robertson once again equalized in the 69th minute. Robertson was then sent off for a wild swig eight minutes later.

Managers Reaction

Spurs boss Antonio Conte: “I haven’t seen the Robertson situation with Kane. I haven’t seen the possibility of a penalty. My staff said to me that the second goal was a clear handball. And I think it’s not right to comment on the refereeing decisions after the game.”

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: “There were obviously many other things that were influential in this game, but some of these questions are better to ask Mr. Tierney. We can give Robbo a red card, it’s not the smartest challenge of his life. But that’s definitely a red card, no doubt about it.”
