Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard addressed similarities between Christian Pulisic and Eden Hazard.

Frank Lampard claims Christian Pulisic ‘s effect on Chelsea is comparable to that of Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge.

Pulisic has scored and made an assist since coming off the bench in the second half of Chelsea’s 5-3 Premier League loss to Liverpool on Wednesday.

The U.S. International, 21, scored nine league goals and provided four assists in 24 games, equal to Hazard’s first season in 2012-13 at Chelsea (nine goals and 11 assists in 34 games).

Lampard praised the attacker and said that the effect Pulisic had on Chelsea was close to Hazard’s, as the Belgian leaving for Real Madrid (via Goal) last year.

“He’s successful. He’s affected,” a news conference was told by Chelsea’s head coach.

“I’ve been here for Eden’s first year and it’s not easy to get into the Premier League, for the first year for Eden, to adjust to the Premier League. Christian’s had his moments of that.”
