Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has voiced his opinions on the current role of the Mancunians in the Premier League. No one ever thought that Man Utd was going to be able to bring [the leaders] that close.

“When they can close the gap, they can be second in the league,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“I don’t think they’ve played Manchester United like that before. The coach’s role has been spoken about. The relegation from the Champions League was a huge concern, the results were bad at times. You just look at them and you don’t think there’s a team out there that can contend to win the EPL. I still don’t believe that Manchester United is going to win the league.”

Manchester United is in the third position with 26 points after the EPL’s 14th round.
