Real Madrid midfielder Isco could miss a big chunk of the run-in of his team in LaLiga after the club announced he’s suffering a hamstring injury.
Isco was on the bench for Saturday’s 3-1 win for Los Blancos at Eibar, but didn’t feature, and is now ruled out until further notice.
“In the aftermath of the tests carried out today by Real Madrid’s medical department on our player Isco Alarcon, he was diagnosed with a hamstring injury to his right thigh,” the club said in a statement on their website on Thursday.
As Real added, no estimation of potential time out has been given: “His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
The 28-year-old, however, is expected to be sidelined for about 20 days, meaning he could miss up to six matches, starting with the game at home to Valencia tonight.
Isco ‘s injury could allow James Rodriguez, who in all competitions this season has made only 13 appearances for Real Madrid.
