Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has hailed former Roma captain Francesco Totti in his autobiography. ‘It is striking that he has never won the Ballon d’Or.’
The Rossoblu coach praised Totti in his autobiography “La Partita Della Vita (The Game of Life), saying that his former Giallorossi teammate was more full” than the greatest internationals in Italy.
[Roberto] Baggio, [Alessandro] Del Piero, [Roberto] Mancini, [Gianfranco] Zola… In his autobiography, Mihajlovic said, “Totti was more complete than all of them. He scored 250 goals and made over 1000 assists. It’s striking that it was not awarded to him while looking at who won the Ballon d’Or. I decided to introduce him to Sampdoria when he had issues with Roma at Carlos Bianchi’s time. I said he should come to Torino and be my assistant when he was about to leave.”
“But he did not want to break away from Roma. I have never seen a first contact assistant like him before.”
