The Italian giants are after an established player and there are packages for the Croatian.
AC Milan is on Barcelona’s hunt for Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic. He leaves Camp Nou in January and, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan is after a midfielder with experience. He suits well with the profile.
“I don’t like being very involved in the transfer market in January but sometimes it’s important,” said Milan’s executive Ivan Gazidis. “We can also invest in young players as we did with (Gonzalo) Higuain.” Signing Rakitic is a practical choice. He’s an accomplished, established quality player, is fairly inexpensive and this winger is available to both player and club.
There is interest in another place. Inter also displayed a desire to land the man from Seville, though all were still linked to Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Manchester United.
Rakitic has lost his spot on Ernesto Valverde’s side, suffering from the rivalry in the midfield. Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, and Arthur Melo are currently playing regularly, while Arturo Vidal and Carles Aleña and B teamer Riqui Puig are also choices.
