Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims that, despite being the summer transfer target for the club, Jack Grealish has no added incentive to do well against Manchester United.
“I don’t think this is my place to inquire about our company to change expectations. We’ve been linked to a lot of successful players and any person associated with Man United looks at that as a compliment. There’s no need for me to wonder how we’re going to succeed and change, “Solskjaer said at his press conference.
Grealish has been an outstanding player this season for Dean Smith’s team and Solskjaer spoke of his challenge ahead of United’s trip to Villa Park on Thursday night, but the Norwegian does not feel that the Grealish trade negotiations will act as an impetus for him to deliver a good showing.
“Each time every player plays against Man United it is a test. Additionally, because Man United is a powerful team, but also because the entire world is watching,” Solskjaer said when asked if he thought Grealish should treat the game like a court.
