News of Manchester United ‘s latest contract with Jadon Sancho have been ‘leaked’ by the German publication Bild.
The 20-year-old is the key summer transfer target for United, but as has been reported in different ways, Borussia Dortmund is demanding a transfer fee of between €100 and €120 million. And yesterday the German source announced in a news article that in a deal based on payment in three installments, the Red Devils obtained the higher of those two amounts.
’70 + 30 and 20! With these figures Man United wishes to compel Dortmund this summer to sell Jadon Sancho,’ reporter Jorg Weiler said.
‘BILD heard this from England: Since the Premier League side can not afford the transfer price of EUR 120 million that BVB requests at once because of the Corona case, the team needs to fund the contract.
Weiler goes on to explain how Dortmund committed to this sort of contract, after selling Ousmane Dembélé to Barcelona, before concluding: ‘It’s the facts … With a transfer fee of 120 million, Borussia will not say NO — no matter how scraped the total together.’
Fabrizio Romano, a soccer trade analyst, fueled the fire in the early hours of this morning, tweeting ‘Man United’s strategy has always been to make up for Sancho by using ‘carry-ons’ and investing in more years. Now we are trying to reach an agreement on this kind of deal with BVB. Only let’s see what happens next days.’
Next week’s agreement will see major changes. The German team has stated categorically that they expect things to finish in a week from today before going to their pre-season training camp in Bad Ragaz.
