Borussia Dortmund does not allow Manchester United goal Jadon Sancho to leave for a reduced price fee as a result of the coronavirus pandemic according to reports.
On the back of the most impressive season of his career, Sancho remains a priority target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
England International has scored 17 goals in the Bundesliga and recorded 16 assists, and MEN Sport knows he has a preference for going back to Manchester. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has already ruled out the Blues from running for his signature.
The value of the 20-year-old Dortmund appears to be a stumbling block to any future contract, with club finances taking a hit from the global crisis. United executive vice president Ed Woodward indicated big-money transactions in the window ahead would be less frequent.
Despite the current financial uncertainty, the German side’s BBC Sport reports are not interested in allowing Sancho to leave for less than its request price. Dortmund claims they are in a good spot getting Sancho under contract until 2022.
The report adds that the club has conveyed its status of transfer to U.S. officials and awaits their next move.
Among other ways, sources say that Manchester United has refused Dean Henderson ‘s offer from Chelsea. Henderson will return to United at the end of the season following a successful two-year loan spell with Sheffield United. Sources from last week indicated that the 23-year-old was a priority for Frank Lampard who was disappointed with Kepa Arrizabalaga ‘s success on the Chelsea network.
However, Football Insider claims that the Reds rejected their move for the United Star quickly because they don’t want to reinforce one of their main rivals for a top-four finish.
Solskjaer has previously confirmed that he wants Henderson to become the first choice goalkeeper for both United and England.
