This season, with Gareth Bale and Dele Alli, Jose Mourinho admits he has made “wrong choices,” with the Tottenham manager willing to get as many “good quality” players at his disposal as possible.

With the Wales and England internationals struggling for form, fitness, and favor, Bale and Alli have not always figured in the Portuguese plans.

Mourinho has sometimes been dismissive of the pair, leading to concerns about their respective futures being raised, but the manager of Spurs has indicated that he would wipe the slate clean.

“Good players are always welcome when they are fit and when they are ready and when they can [play],” Mourinho told reporters after the 3-0 Manchester City loss.

Often we coaches will make wrong choices, all of us do, but not one of us is nuts.

Not one of us says that when a player has the talent and the requirements he needs to do it, I don’t want this player to support me and the team.

“Gio [Lo Celso] has been absent for a long, long time. We’ve been without [Sergio] Reguilon for many weeks. If we can get them back, if we can get Dele and Gareth fit and ready to play, it’s a major change in our team.”
