Liverpool has recently been linked to a transfer from Bayern Munich for the midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
According to the latest Bild article, the Merseyside outfit has now reached personal terms with the player and Jurgen Klopp has also supported the move.
What remains to be seen is whether the Reds can now agree to a fee with Bayern Munich.
The 29-year-old is keen to sign for the Premier League champions and has already declined an extension bid from the German club.
Bayern is expected to claim £36 m for the player but Liverpool is only willing to pay £23 m.
Thiago will become a free agent next summer and Bayern Munich can not afford to lose him on a free transfer. They’ll need to cash in on him in the coming months and they should look to keep their demands reasonable.
Thiago’s contract situation and his willingness to join the Reds would give Liverpool the upper hand in the Transfer saga. It’ll be fascinating to see if Bayern crumbles under pressure and lower their demands on the international Spanish 37-cap.
On style, Thiago is one of the best midfielders in the world and will be a perfect addition to the squad at Liverpool. He’s at the height of his career and will be developing them immediately.
