Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp will not leave his post due to a series of poor results. According to The Times, he retains the full backing of management in the form of Fenway Sports Group and John Henry.
Liverpool’s management does not doubt that the disappointing stretch is an anomaly and was largely due to a series of injuries in a pandemic and sub-standard season. Moreover, Liverpool’s management believes Klopp is the best coach in the world and is confident he can solve the problems that have plagued the team since late December.
The question of his possible resignation is considered absurd at the club. It is also noted that the club’s management is not planning any significant financial injections or rebuilding of the squad.
Liverpool will continue to operate under the current financial model, even if they do not qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season.
