According to news, Juventus is afraid that Paulo Dybala will break his deal and join Manchester United for free. The Argentine star’s contract expires in June 2022, stirring speculation of a move away from Turin.

Dybala has had a falling out with club leaders in recent months and is now looking to make a huge move.

Manchester United, along with Real Madrid and Barcelona, are rumored to be among his favorite destinations. Juve is worried that Dybala will depart on a free after his deal ends, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato (via Goal). Negotiations over a new contract have failed as strains between the 27-year-old and his colleagues have risen.

To stop wasting money on one of their most profitable possessions, Juventus could be forced to sell Dybala to Manchester United this summer.

Dybala was named Serie A’s player of the year last season. He scored 11 goals and assisted on 11 more to help Juventus secure their ninth league title in a row.

With that form, he beat out teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as talented players like Ciro Immobile and Romelu Lukaku, to win the honor.

Dybala, on the other hand, has had a tough season this time around. He struggled with thigh injuries early in the season and didn’t score until his seventh start when he scored in a 3-1 victory over Genoa.

He later sustained a devastating knee injury that sidelined him for several months.

Off-field tensions have exacerbated Dybala’s injury troubles. He was charged by the police and reprimanded by Juventus for breaching coronavirus prohibitions at a recent gathering. Teammates Arthur Melo and Weston McKennie both took part.

Dybala’s case is interesting. Juve will want to offload him this summer, but his contract issue will seriously restrict their bargaining power.
