After just one year of cost-cutting steps brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, Juventus is reportedly planning to part way with Aaron Ramsey

The 29-year-old has been struggling for form and fitness since joining the Serie A champions last summer on a free transfer from Arsenal.

And Ramsey’s £400,000 a-week earnings could see him fall victim to the recession of the coronavirus with Juventus keen to save money.

MailOnline reports that in recent months two top English clubs have been told of the availability of Ramsey with Manchester United tied to the Wales star.

Ramsey ‘s enormous wages, though, could prove a stumbling block for United and any other Premier League club.

He has failed this season to nail down a regular spot on Maurizio Sarri ‘s side, starting just nine Serie A games.

But Ramsey left his mark in the last game of Juventus before coronavirus stopped football as he scored and assisted each goal in March’s 2-0 victory over Inter Milan’s title rivals.

Sarri acknowledged Ramsey had endured a difficult opening season in Italy in February.

He said: “The state and perception that Aaron Ramsey is rising. The adaptation wasn’t easy for him, coming from the Premier League and a bad injury.”

Ramsey has been left out of Juventus’ squad for their semi-final second leg Coppa Italia clash against AC Milan on Friday due to tiredness.

In February both sides played a 1-1 draw in the first leg back.

Ramsey has made 24 appearances for Juventus this season in all competitions, scoring four goals and registering just one assist.
