Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has spoken out about the performance of goalkeeper Alisson. The Brazilian has made productive errors in previous matches but in the Champions League game against Leipzig (2-0), he had a clean sheet.
“As for my confidence, nothing has changed when we talk about Alisson,” Klopp said at the press conference.
“We are all human and so is Ali. He has shown that in the last two matches. It’s not a concern. And of course, it’s a job, but you have to do much of it yourself. That’s what he does. It’s not a matter of telling him, “Come on, Ali, you’re a world-class goalkeeper.” He knows that. In the morning, in front of the mirror, he has no idea that he sees a world-class goalkeeper in front of him.”
“If you have made a mistake in previous matches, you don’t like it at all. Both men are the same and Ali is too smart to deny it. Ali certainly didn’t have the best of times between the two matches. But the game against Leipzig was very successful in terms of coming back.”
