Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s head coach, has spoken out about his team’s 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in an EPL match.
“It seemed that the situation [with Patricio] was dire. I met with the Wolves’ coaches, and they remain upbeat.”
Klopp told the BBC, “It was a complete shock. In terms of the game, the outcome was crucial. It was a tense battle. I’ll be satisfied if we get three points. We had a few opportunities to play better. The match was successful in terms of defense. I just didn’t like how we started; we weren’t very active.”
“We played excellent defense and counterattacking. There have been a lot of memorable football moments. A beautiful goal was scored. I expected the goalkeeper to save it, but the ball went into the net.
There were several positive aspects to today, but the three points are the most important. We tried to head into the national match break in a good mood, and we succeeded.”
